Updated 10/21/2019: Advance reservations are now REQUIRED for the extremely popular Oga’s Cantina and Savi’s Workshop lightsaber building experiences in the land at both Disneyland and Walt Disney World.

Disneyland reservations for Oga’s Cantina and Savi’s Workshop lightsaber building can be booked online through those respective links or in the Disneyland app. There are some new changes with these reservations starting 10/21/2019 you are able to book both experiences up to 60-days in advance like other dining and experience reservations. With this change, there will no longer be same-day reservation slots available unless you can snag a spot from a cancellation. Reservations at Disneyland should open up as each date of your visit hits the 60-day mark similar to how dining reservations work. This is different from how things work at Walt Disney World, where availability opens up for your whole trip at the same time. A new day’s reservations will open at Midnight Pacific time the same as dining reservations do.

At Walt Disney World, because guests typically plan their visits further in advance, reservations for Oga’s Cantina, Savi’s Workshop, and the Droid Depot are currently available to book 6 months out with your other reservations. These experiences can be booked by clicking through the respective links above for each location or in the My Disney Experience app. In Florida, these locations may also accommodate standby walk-ins each day, subject to availability, would head to the location and ask a Cast Member if you weren’t able to secure a reservation, but better to reserve in advance if possible.

When booking your reservations, it’s easier to see what’s available if you scroll all the way over to the Morning / Afternoon / Lunch / Dinner / etc options rather than the individual hour windows. Would suggest continuing checking again every few minutes through the first 20-30 minutes as have seen it look like everything was taken, but then spots become available. If there are no time slots available, don’t refresh, but keep checking different times, as other guests time out of their 10 minutes or make other selections other slots may open up.

Oga’s Cantina guests with reservations must check-in at the location no earlier than 15 minutes before their booked time. After checking-in, you do generally have to wait in a queue to actually go inside, generally has been taking about 15-20 minutes from that point on our visits.

Guests with reservations for Savi’s Workshop lightsaber building can check-in no earlier than 1 hour before and no later than 20 minutes before their booked time. There is a hefty $199.99 no-show fee per builder, the full cost of the experience, charged to your card if you don’t show up for your reservation.

At Hollywood Studios for Droid Depot guests can check-in no earlier than 15 minutes before their reservation time. There is also a hefty $99.99 no-show fee per builder, the cost of the full experience.

Any cancellations must be made the day before the reservation date, before 11:59 p.m. Cancellations after that time are nonrefundable.

As always, we do our best to keep the information here up-to-date, but do recommend checking the official Disney pages linked above for any updates or changes prior to your visit.
